Tennis
Welcome to DPCC Tennis 2008!
Tennis is a wonderful mix of exercise and socialization! Anyone can play it, good or bad, and all members have complete access. Play when you want, play in one of our organized tournaments, or come on out on Friday nights, in season, and then jump in the pool to cool off!
DPCC has enjoyed a very active adult and child tennis program. Anyone interested in playing should contact our Tennis Chair, Kelley Kittell at 467-0946. Beginners are welcome!
CURRENT NEWS
Our Rockin' Racquets Revival
began on April 4th and will continue
every Friday night through the summer season.
Playing at night is a little cooler, and once the pool opens, you can
take a dip afterwards! Bring your racquet, hang it on the fence and prepare for
a fun family night at your club. Children must be accompanied by an adult. The
RRR is not exactly a planned social event, so players are on there own for food
and drinks. Please make sure you clean up after yourself, this includes the
court area as well as the viewing areas. No one can play if you don't show up!!
So come on out for a little extra exercise, practice and FUN!
Ladies Choice Doubles Tourney
Anyone wishing to play at the mixed
doubles tournament, Ladies Choice, for May 18, please email me at kckittell@yahoo.com or call at 467-0946 to
"register" your couple. We will have continuous play beginning at
11am. It’s a free-for-all! Bring your
own BALLS, food, and drink! This is
JUST FOR FUN, so come on out! I’m sure
there will be some hilarious play.

ADULTS
Not THAT kind! Keep you shirt on!
Anyone can “play” tennis. Some people want to get better. How about a clinic or private lessons? Once you get better, you can play with our JCCA teams; Men on Tuesday evenings, Saturday mornings or Women on Thursday nights. We play against other local clubs and it’s a good time for all. Everyone needs a little “me” time in this hectic world!
If you are interested in learning as a beginner or improving your game and maybe joining one of our leagues, Rusty Jones is offering private lessons, doubles lessons ($20 per hour), and even group lessons. His cell is 452-6874 and home 469-6657. We once had a very strong tennis group and would like to continue some bragging rights as we beat the other clubs!!!
